ICE Europe 2017 offers large scope of innovations

The converting industry’s leading trade show, ICE Europe, will be held from 21st – 23rd March 2017 at the Munich Trade Fair Centre in Germany. For its 10th edition the exhibition will, once again, present a large variety of new and enhanced products and services. From innovative systems for drying/curing, coating or laminating, to technical advances in finishing processes, in slitting and rewinding, environmentally-friendly hotmelt and glue, the latest rolls, rollers and sleeves, new software solutions, precise control, test and measurement systems as well as innovative printing applications – visitors will be able to get a comprehensive overview of all prevailing trends in converting techniques.

A total of 430 exhibitors from 28 countries will present their innovations on a net floor space of some 11.000m2. Live demonstrations at the exhibition stands are, once again, a special focus of the show. Key exhibitor countries are Germany, Italy, Great Britain, Switzerland, the USA, France and the Netherlands.

Exhibition organiser Mack Brooks Exhibitions celebrates this year’s 10th edition of the leading exhibition for the conversion of flexible, web-based materials, such as paper, film, foil and nonwovens, with a Jubilee Awards Ceremony. Innovation prizes will be awarded to exhibiting companies for their excellence in four categories: Industry 4.0, Green Technology, Converting Solutions for New Materials and Innovative Partnerships. The awards ceremony will be held on Tuesday, 21st March 2017, at 15:00. All visitors, exhibitors and the press are invited to join the ceremony in hall A5, stand 886. At this stand visitors will also be able to learn about the history of the International Converting Exhibition.

“Over the past twenty years ICE Europe has evolved from a small get-together of the converting industry into a renowned specialised industry event. The success of the exhibition reflects the successful development of the converting sector over the past two decades. Initially a niche sector, the converting industry has by now become a high-tech industry driven by innovation and technological expertise», explains Nicola Hamann, Managing Director of Mack Brooks Exhibitions.

“The demand for individualised and functional products offers a large number of opportunities. There is big potential for converters in value-added products and new market sectors, and this year’s event shows all major future trends in production and finishing processes. Openness for new applications, expert exchange and the development of networks have become more important than ever”, says Nicola Hamann.

ICE Europe 2017 will be held in halls A5 and A6 at the Munich Trade Fair Centre, accessible from entrance East. Opening hours are on 21st March and 22nd March 2017, from 9:00 – 18:00, and on 23rd March 2017, from 9:00 – 16:00.

A day ticket purchased in pre-sale via the Online Ticket Shop on the exhibition website costs €22 instead of €35 on-site; a three-day-ticket costs €32 in pre-sale instead of €48 on-site.
Once again, CCE International, the International Exhibition for the Corrugated and Folding Carton Industry, will be held in parallel to ICE Europe in halls B5 and B6. Entry tickets for ICE Europe are also valid for this event. This year’s CCE International will present the latest technologies and solutions for the manufacturing and processing of corrugated and cartonboard, with a special focus on new application systems for printing and converting. The open seminars on digital printing for corrugated (21st and 23rd March) and folding carton (22nd March) will offer visitors a comprehensive insight into the latest developments in the area of digital print. The seminars will take place on the showground and are free of charge for all visitors of both exhibitions.
