Arabian Can Industry LLC joins Empac as its second international associate member
Empac, European Metal Packaging, the association bringing together European producers of rigid metal packaging and their supply chain partners, today announced that Arabian Can Industry LLC has become its second international associate member, after Jamestrong Packaging Australia & New Zealand which joined the organisation in March 2015.
Based in Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Arabian Can Industry LLC, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Al Ghurair Group of Companies, a successful diversified family-owned conglomerate. The company is one of the foremost producers of tinplate cans and components with production facilities in the Middle East.
Established in 2000, Arabian Can Industry LLC is specialised in 3-piece metal can manufacturing for a variety of industries with a focus in food products. The company has an integrated and versatile can plant with full in-house facilities for tinplate high-tech printing, coating and manufacturing of built cans and components. It has been successfully accredited to ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 2200:2005, as well as HACCP standard. Arabian Can Industry LLC produces around 160 million cans and employs 140 people.
