Techtextil 2019: Frankfurt the hotspot for high-tech textiles

SPACE FOR INNOVATION is the slogan of Techtextil 2019. Some three months before opening, the leading international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens is almost fully booked. With its trend topic, «Urban living – City of the Future», this trade fair will be casting its eye on things to come and considering how technical textiles will affect our urban life in the future. From 14 to 17 May 2019 Techtextil will be featuring numerous new developments and highlights.

Every two years, Techtextil mirrors the range of applications for textile materials. Leading international experts from the most diverse industries – be they from architecture, the automotive industry, medicine, the fashion industry or personal protection – come together at Techtextil in search of lightweight, durable and sustainable materials.

At Techtextil and Texprocess in May 2017, 47,500 visitors from 114 countries came to the Frankfurt exhibition centre in Germany to find out about the new developments in technical textiles, functional apparel fabrics and nonwovens offered by 1,789 exhibitors from 66 countries. The number of registrations received in 2019 is already significantly over that of the previous editions. More exhibition space is already booked than at the previous event overall.

Technical textiles and nonwovens can be used in versatile ways. Techtextil brings all areas of application together. This is where car manufacturers meet fashion designers and medical engineers meet industry specialists, staying always one step ahead of their time.
