TIN CAP goes green
Established in 2015 with the idea to create an ecological, healthy and easily recyclable product, JSC TIN CAP, Lithuania, started the production of PT51 – PVC-free PT (Press &Twist) type closures for glass jars. The applied PVC-free sealing material is PROVALIN® 1771. Sealing material is produced from substances that lack PVC and plasticizers, as well as hazardous additives used in its production. The result is achieved using a TPE (thermoplastic elastomers) basis, which does not require any additional materials to provide elasticity. The TPE technology does not require complex gelation in terms of time and temperature, thereby saving energy. TPE are recyclable and less waste is incurred during production. With PROVALIN® 1771 was found a solution for the highly sensitive area of baby food and for sensitive contents. The compound can be used for all contents, which are heat-treated. Extensive tests, including in terms of processing, storage, vacuum retention, opening properties and migration, are available with outstanding results. Suitable for baby food, other fatty food types as well as all non-fatty food types and particularly sensitive contents these PVC-free closures will be helpful and valuable for each and every one who has been looking to eliminate plasticized PVC from the packaging and to ensure the protection of the filled goods to the end of the shelf life. ACTEGA DS, Germany, provide the material (PROVALIN 1771) as well as full support for application and treatment of sealing material.
PROVALIN 1771 is compatible with BPA-NI coating system offering highest standards in consumer safety.
