The international network of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna keeps growing, after celebrating in 2017 its 50th anniversary. Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna – with its spin-off events Cosmoprof Asia in Hong Kong and Cosmoprof North America in Las Vegas – reinforces its role as B2B leading format for the business development of the beauty sector.

More than 340.000 professionals and 6.000 companies in the world take part in all the three events.

These figures will grow for sure in the next months: among the new initiatives for next year, Bologna Fiere Group is proud to announce the first edition of Cosmoprof India, to be held in Mumbai, on September 10th and 11th, 2018, at the Sahara Star Hotel. The exhibition will be organized by Cosmoprof Asia Ltd, joint venture between Bologna Fiere and UBM, one of the largest groups in the world organizing trade shows and professional events. The Indian beauty market is constantly evolving, with an annual growth which remains regularly in double figures. Cosmoprof India will be a new opportunity for visibility and economic development for companies focused on finished products, especially on skincare, body-care and haircare.

From this year onwards, the International network of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna is landing in new emerging markets. The first scheduled appointment is in Colombia, at Belleza y Salud, (Bogotá, from September 27th to 29th, 2017). Bologna Fiere Cosmoprof will take part in the organization of the exhibition as international representative, in collaboration with CORFERIAS – International Business and Exhibition Center of Bogotá and in partnership with ANDI – National Business Association of Colombia.

Belleza y Salud showcases all the beauty segments: perfumery and cosmetics, machinery, raw materials, packaging, contract manufacturing, beauty and spa, hair, nail, wellness and fitness. Starting from the results of the 2016 edition, with an exhibition area of 9,256 sqm, 279 exhibiting companies and 55.000 attendees, the show can be considered as the most important business opportunity in South America for distributors, suppliers, import/export groups and managers of the beauty industry looking for trends and news with an international appeal. ITA – Italian Trade Agency and Cosmetica Italia – The Personal Care Association will organize the Italian Country Pavilion, promoting the presence of the national leading companies.

What is new in 2018 in Bologna is the evolution of Cosmoprof into a “tailor made” exhibition, in order to meet the business requirements from both exhibitors and beauty professionals. For the first time, at Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna 2018 every single segment will have specific opening dates. The areas dedicated to professionals – Beauty & Spa, Hair and Nail – will open as usual on Friday, March 16th, till Monday, March 19th.

Early opening, 1 day before, for Cosmoprime (from Thursday, March 15th till Sunday, March 18th for buyers, distributors and specialists of the retail channel) and for Cosmopack, for companies of the Perfumery and Cosmetics sector, for the Green Hall and for the Country Pavilions. With this new strategy, Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna adapts to the specific requirements of all the professional figures attending the exhibition, proposing to them a personal business experience.

Cosmoprof North America celebrates its 15th edition, from July 9th to 11th, 2017, with 1,261 exhibitors from 46 countries. 12 country pavilions are attending the show, confirming its international appeal as reference event for the East Coast in the US.

Cosmoprof Asia is back in November 2017 with a double rendez-vous, as explained by its claim «One Fair, Two Venues». From November 14th to 16th, 2017, Asia-World Expo will open its doors for the supply chain exhibiting at Cosmopack Asia, then from November 15th to 17th companies focused on finished products will showcase at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Center. New initiatives and international partnerships will enrich the contents of the next edition. Cosmoprof Asia 2016 has been attended by 76,818 visitors from 129 countries, +21% compared to the previous year. 2,698 exhibitors from 49 countries (+7,7% compared to 2015) and 24 country pavilions enlivened an exhibition area of 98,000 sqm, which was the result of the introduction of two fair districts.

Further to this, the international promotion of the Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna platform, in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development in Italy and ITA – Italian Trade Agency, will proceed after the great results achieved in the last editions. “On the road” events will be planned in strategic markets for the beauty industry, reinforcing the leadership of the Cosmoprof network and facilitating new business relationships with local key players and buyers: Vietnam, Tanzania, South Korea, Jordan, Malaysia, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Russia and Mozambique. The roadshow program will be supported by Cosmetica Italia – The Personal Care Association.
